Hi everyone.
I light of the recent posts regarding bump requests, I must apologize for bringing attention upon myself and the Guild.
To remedy this issue, I plan to travel to New Zealand in the near future and pummel Cloudifre about the head and shoulders with a small lamb.
Hopefully, this calm and well thought out course of action will alleviate any tensions that have arisin. ( I honestly think his post was in jest, but he does have a certain site-nazi quality about him at times. as many of us do, including me.)
Seriously, I guess I will lighten up a bit. I often get extremely frustrated when I see 20+ early bumps in topics on a regular basis, even by long time members of the site, and members of respected guilds. I wish the Mediators and/or site Administrators would spend a bit more time policing the trade forum(s) with this in mind.
I, for one, NEVER early bump any of my topics in the most blatent form; meaning I do not post my own entries back to back for ANY reason. It's difficult, however, to watch ones topic plummet down the pages in a matter of minutes by flagrant self bumpers, thus eliminating any real chance of selling ones wares without the help of fellow users and friends to bring the thread back to the top every hour or so via a vouch or bump.
My trading time is limited this time of year, and trading is the sole source of forum gold for me, as well as being my favorite component of the game in general. I "horsetrade" for a living, and it brings me pleasure to pursue the "deal".
ISO a stated GUILD policy on this issue. I will adhere to it vigorously.
yea i hate it too, i used to kinda work with a few mods when i was actively trading in the US east forums alot. i would see repeat offenders and report their topics. they would get closed and i would make a list in notepad of all their closed topics due to early bumps. i would then pm the mod and he would verbal them. it would take me pming a list to a mod like 5x for them to give a 10% warn and it got pretty frustrating cuz the ppl would just continue. i stopped doing it for this reason and i just dont go in the trade forums much anymore.
i think the mods seem to think that it is a minor infraction and dont take it seriously, like u said it is extremely frustrating trying to sell anything when your topic is on the first page for less than a min sometimes cuz id say atleast 75% of the community continually early bump their topics. in my humble opinion it ruins the trade experience, and is one of the main reasons i dont actively browse and trade anymore.

Hello members of COT!
My name is Jim and today is my first day in COT. This afternoon I got accepted on a probationary 30 term by IronDuke. I have two current friends already in COT, those two being Ken aka coolychilly and Ben aka Garnier. I'm a D2 player on both ladder and non-ladder. Currently only non-ladder until this "reset" promised to us by Blizzard happens =) I look forward to getting to know more of you guys and playing with you guys online in D2. Any D2 players feel free to add my to your friends list on Bnet if you wish. On Bnet I also go by the name, "MrMoJoRising". If anyone has any questions about me feel free to ask =) I have a little bit more info posted up me in my profile page.
I'm very excited to be here. I've been wanting to join for a long time since my friends coolychilly and Garnier joined. I respect and admire a guild built around the principles of trust and respect. I look forward to being with COT for a long time! Special thanks to IronDuke for accepting my "Request to Join."

-Jim
