first off creatine actually rushes more water into your muscles producing more ATP cells which is the main form of energy for short quick bursts aka when you weightlift
The MAIN function of creatine isn't to make you more watery or w/e you said. Creatine is more frequently used when breaking plateaus, because since there's more ATP it allows you to push out an xtra 1-2 reps which is great for breaking those plateaus. Besides that, creatine increases your recovery time by ALOTTT which is why it's so good. When you stop taking it you don't lose any of your muscle mass..how could you? it doesn't bloat you up with water so that when you stop taking it you look smaller...it just holds more water in your body which is why people usually gain a good bit of weight when they first start taking creatine but yeah...you don't lose any strength gains while on it, you don't lose muscle mass, and you don't even lsoe the weight from being on it.
