depends...usually ill start with 3 sets of 10 reps with a barbell with about 65-70 then after that im tired so my db work looks weak :(
alternating dumbell curls 3x10 with 30's
concentration curls 3x10 with 25s
hammer curls 3x10 with 25s



when i do dbs off the start though haven't for over a month though i was reppin 40s

I'm doing 40 right now. Should I drop to like 30?

depends what you're working for... 3-5 reps for building strength 8-12 reps for building mass and size

When i used to work for strength in biceps for like 2 weeks i'd never feel a good pump in my bi's at all...when ive upped the rep range to 8-12 ive noticed a lil strength gains, alot bigger biceps and i get an awesome pump...you should do barbell curls though 3x10 they are prolly the best mass building exercise for the biceps...on top of that some good ones to do are:
preacher curls
concentration curls
alternating curls
hammer curls

all those with a db and don't do all of them in a single workout...but really not sure if you should lower the weight....keep your form strict and supinate your wrists at the top and take as long as possibile lowering the weight, and do that 3x10 with the weight you use now and see if it's too hard

I Took off 4x 1 1/4 weights from my free weights and adds alot better workout then when I was doing 25.
I went from 25 to 40 to 35 is your confused lol.

What?

You really shouldn't drop weight like that btw...do very light curls and forearms to warm up bi's then go up from there...
Usually you should say start with 25 then to 35 then to 40? something like that...
you shouldn't lower the weight unless you're training to failure in which case you'd use say a 40(or heavy weight) for as MANY reps as you can with good form maybe even a few negatives afterward, then rest 45 secs then lower to a 30 or 35 for example and failure like that again. or you could pyramid down if you want to decrease weight.. like 40's 4 times, 30s 6 times..etc something like that

Well this is what I was doing...
15-20Lb's and didn't notice much, so I asked a friend at school he told me to do 25.
So I did 25lbs since Feb, then when my brother got home from college he said he had 15lbs more in this room so we added it.
After two days of doing that I just droped down to 35lbs. Not a big issue really.
