I know its kinda silly to look at the game as a whole, but if you think about going feeder->alchemist, you only need axes and daggers. So keep the axe, and work on your axe prof. I have a pretty good collection of daggers, and I am going to start collecting axes once i get to paly. The market is very high for mutes now, so if you want to make easy fg, put them on the market for the correct price, and they sell very fast, especially swords/clubs/axes/damage charms.
