My friends are all out of town at the moment so I have nothing to do all day until school pretty much one of the main causes I am good at fixing this problem as I have done it many times before.

Gay luck, battery has about worn out, and my power cord got ripped. Feels so weird going downstairs to use the computer.

Heh how much is a like basic use laptop these days not for like gaming but general purpose?

I bet you can get a netbook fairly cheap, the older models before the new Intel chipsets come (this January?) out will be very affordable.

Plus, you can play Starcraft or D2 on them =)

You can play starcraft and d2 on anything lol I used to play on a 1999 dell desktop with like 200mb ram my brother still uses it in his room for music n stuff.

If battery life doesn't concern you too much, you could get a refurbished Asus EEE (older model) for around $100 I bet.
