i know someone heres a ladderslasher pro so...uh what should i get for my new rogue to start out with and what should i look for lata down the road?

don't pub alone, and if you see a baal party don't bother fighting all of them. kill who you can and town right after, then afk. that pisses them off because you will have killed one of them and they will never get chance to 3v1 you :)
