SPQR GOOD-MANNERED ONE VERSUS ONE LADDER
Winter break is approaching, and I'm going to be bored as shit. Not only that, but I'd like to run another guild event, with the possibility of opening it up to people outside of the guild.
As such, I think a 1v1 ladder (i.e. we all try and compete for the top spot) is in order. This will be a non-ladder event, and probably for fun and free.
Rules are as follows:
Ladder Structure:
- Duels are first to five for each "challenge."
- You must show your opponent or the ref your gear when it is requested. Failure to do so means removal from the ladder.
- The initial ladder will be determined randomly. When there is an adequate number of people signed up, their spots on the ladder will be in a random order.
- Anyone joining after the first duel takes place will be put at the bottom.
- To move up in the ladder, you may challenge one or two spots up, but not down. Beating that person moves you up to their spot, and they move down a spot.
- Post your challenge. Once the challenge is issued, the person defending the spot has three days (72 hours from the post) to complete the duel.
- Failure to complete a duel within three days ("dodge") is an automatic loss for the defender.
- You may not challenge someone who has already been challenged.
- Upon completing a duel, both players need to post their scores or confirm that whatever is posted is accurate.
- I'm thinking that we will end the ladder on New Year's Day (January 1st, 2010). Whoever holds the top spot is the winner of the ladder.
PK Rules:
THE NO'S SECTION:
- Characters should be clear of all buffs before the duel begins that are from "proc'd" items,
such as the venom from grief, fade from treachery, and chilling armor from fortitude.
- No unperms or temporary gear (such as an item that's not indestructible or self-repair).
Sorry, but this is a competitive event. People work too hard in making good characters
for someone to come in and make a temporary char.
- Potions of any kind besides mana (see below)
- No use of Life tap.
- NO HACKS OF ANY KIND ARE ALLOWED!
- No more than 40 Life Replenish is allowed on any character.
- Items which contain spell charges are allowed, but the use of the charges is not.
- No mercenaries are allowed.
- No Guardian Angel Armors.
- No two pieces of Sorb or Max Resistance of the same Element.
- No More then 75% Poison Reduction is allowed.
- No Naked killing.
- No Hotspurs Unless Said Otherwise Under Characters (see below).
- No more then 85% Resistance to an Element.
- No Money Takers.
- No 100+ resist Shields (i.e. 45 base res sacred targe socketed w/ 4x perfect topazes, giving 165 lightning resistance).
- No Health or Rejuvenation potions.
- No Holy Freeze (vs non-casters).
THE YES'S SECTION.
- Mana potions, except es sorcs.
- Items that Grant Aura (Except Hf vs Ias).
- Only one item that grants an elemental absorb type is allowed.
- Only one item that Grants Max %+ Resistance or skill allowed. Lo Lo helms count as one piece of sorb (same goes with the other runes that do the same thing for other elements).
- A maximum of 451 poison damage is allowed from charms for all Ias characters.
- No Cap on Run/walk.
- No Cap on IAS.
- There is no restrictions on in-game techniques(IBS, legit farcast, etc)*
- Recasting of minions, cyclone armor, bone armor, hurricane, battle orders, holy shield, and other such spells is allowed.
MISC SECTION:
- Duels take place in Blood Moor, Nightmare Difficulty. Monsters are to be killed prior to starting the duel.
- Each person says "Go" before starting the duel.
- Leaving the Dueling Arena during a duel is considered a loss NO EXCEPTIONS. Anyone traveling to cold plains or back into town loses the duel.
- No Disappearing off your Opponents Map for more then 10 Seconds = Auto Loss.
- No overly defensive play (100% teleport off screen as soon as you're on their mini map).
- No avoiding contact with an opponent intentionally with no plans of attacking.
- No casting of traps, missiles, damage auras, or anything else that can hurt your opponent before both players say go.
- No extended use of houses.
- No strength glitching. When you are killed, you should be able to pick up your body with no problems.
- If you cannot afford a full inventory of charms, any leftover space is to be filled with ID scrolls.
- You are allowed one trip to the stash after two duels take place to change gear. You should come to the game ready to duel with whatever you have on.
SORC-SPECIFIC RULES:
- No Max Resist/Absorb allowed if you're using Energy shield.
- No Pre Buffing ES. Using a cta staff or having memory on your switch is ok, but you cannot go back to your stash and switch to cta/spirit etc.
- May Use Doom.
- No using mana potions with ES. You are required to fill your belt with ID scrolls when using ES.
NECRO-SPECIFIC RULES:
- Bone Prison is allowed vs. anything that can Teleport.
- All Curses allowed Except Iron Maiden, Life Tap, Decrepify.
- NO Corpse skills are allowed.
- Fire Golem+ Dwarf Star is allowed(not vs fire trappers).
- Hot Spurs are allowed.
- No overly defensive mass IBS spam (keyword: defensive)
DRUID-SPECIFIC RULES:
- No Thunder Gods.
- No Snow Clash.
- Wisp Protector and Dwarf Are allowed.
- Wind druids may use hotspurs.
ASN-SPECIFIC RULES:
- Dual Claw Assassins can wear 1 Raven or 1 dwarf.
- Hotspurs Allowed on Non-Dual Claw Assassins.
- No prebuffing that requires you to swap gear from the stash. I.e. no using 2x 6 venom claws, going back to your stash, and using cta + spirit.
- Dual ClawAssassins may not use tgods or hotspurs.
BARB-SPECIFIC RULES:
- No Prebuffing Warcries.
- 2 Raven Frost Allowed.
- 1 Raven if stacking.
AMAZON SPECIFIC RULES:
- No Battle Orders allowed in 1vs1 (Zon vs. zon) unless decided upon by both players.
- Hotspurs allowed (Bowzons only).
- Slow Missile is not allowed.
- 2 Raven Frost Allowed.
PALADIN SPECIFIC RULES:
- Using a Resistance Aura Counts as a Sorb Item.
- Cleansing and Meditation are allowed.
