Oh, and save spirit/insight runes especially. You'll want to make spirit sword/shield since it will be sinfully easy to acquire the runes. I'd imagine a 4 socket monarch is probably the toughest part of making spirit shield.

And if you're considering selling your high runes/mid runes, lurk around the PTR trading forum to get a feel for the prices. Bers, Jahs are ridiculously pricey... which can mean someone doing constant self-rushes and forges/countess runs could really clean up.

did they up the highest possible rune that drops from forge? I didn't think 1.12 and lower could drop bers or jahs

I don't believe they did. The 1.13 patch notes stated only that they 'increased the drop rate of high runes'. No mention about the forge. Keep in mind that you can cube runes all the way up to Zod. Of course, you know this. It's a matter of whether you think losing two runes to make one step up is worth it.
