Heh I've studied string theory, various big bang theories, as well as multiple others in depth ^_^

Independent study or did you go to college to learn this stuff?

Completely independent in my early teens. I also have done a TON of Biblical studies as well as a lot in Judaism and various Pagan religions.
Edit: My strongest point is definitely religious discussion ^_^
Edit: Originally it was because I enjoyed pissing of Christians but after a while it was simple interest and because I wanted to find a religion that suited me...Buddhism came close but I remain unconvinced. I'm too logical to partake in complete faith in the improbable, "faith".

Sounds quite like what I am going through at the moment, but I'm considering going to university to study. I am not good at teaching others, and even worse at teaching myself ;).

I enjoy teaching others but would never want to do it as a profession. There if VERY little you can do with a philosophy degree unless you want to be a professor :/

I would absolutely love to do it as a profession. If I can get these things known, which they NEED to be, that makes me part of the solution. However the education system and syllabus need complete overhauling, and it does not seem this will be happening any time in the near future.

Edit: Typo.

I have been spending much time there lately :). I dislike how the majority of the Christians that post there are unable to see anyone else's point of view.

I hope that the discussion we just had provoked some thought within The Goods, and that we are not simply branded nerds :P
