I've had my ps1 since 1996 and my ps2 since 2001 or so. Also like to note that I've had my N64 and SEGA (16 bit) since they were first released. All these consoles still work (I've been the hardest on the N64. ) I've had 2 360's (never bought an xbox since I had the ps2). I bought the first 360 brand new. I owned it for almost 8 months when I got the red ring. I loved it and expected it to happen at some point, so I ended up just buying a refurbished one. I can't remember what I did, but I voided the warranty on my first one. Anywho I bought a cheap refurbished 360 (meaning it had no warranty) which I think only lasted 2-3 months (when it broke, it was the entire reason I stared playing D2 again.) Once I moved back in with some friends here who had a PS3, I loved it from the start.
A refurbished 360(not done by microsoft), you always run the firsk of having a problem, so blaming that on microsoft is a wrong choice, same goes for any refurbished console. my ps3 wasn't refurbished. Broke down from sony's manufacturer's work. I have been reading around, apparently a lot of the original backwards compatible ps3's have had blue ray lense problems.
I didn't want this to turn into a damn ps or xbox debate(it's fucking pointless because hardcore fans on either side ignore the facts, pros, and cons, the just blindly argue it), i'm just stating that sony never ceases to amaze me with their faulty systems from
my experiences.
