Kk, I am planning on writing a large persuasive essay based on how a authority figures should rule.
The Prince goes along with it very strongly in my opinion, and The Art of War was recommended to me.
Do you know of any other books/sources that would go along with it?
Hmm, you'd use The Prince though? The Prince advocates protecting the state regardless of the consequences. I find this ideology to be incredibly reckless and imbalanced. Although, if you are doing this essay from a purely objective point of view, it could work VERY well.
As far as other books on authority go, I'd try Thomas Hobbes "Leviathan". It emphasizes centralized authority. Very neat read and detrimental if you want to truly understand the importance of government.
The Art of War is rad, it'd make a good essay.
