I don't have the time either, but I just spent 5 minutes on it and gave it my best guesses. The ones I didn't know I just bullshitted (basically all of them).

  4. Given 70 skill points to distribute between Fire Bolt, Fire Ball, Meteor (prerequisites have been taken care of) and Fire Mastery,
    which allocation produces maximum Fire Ball damage? No skill or Fire Skill Damage bonuses whatsoever.
    Why is this usually not a clever way of allocating points when equipment is included?
  5. There are 7 unique items that proc a spell whose level (lvl) may be calculated from ilvl as follows,

    lvl = max(1,min(20,[(ilvl - reqlvl)/4] + 1))

    where 'reqlvl' is the level requirement of the skill (the level at which you could first put points in it).

  2. False (F).
    Iron Wolves may use helms (helm or circ), body armor, any single-handed sword, and shield (not class-specific).
    Griffon's Eye Diadem, dual Spirit 'TalThulOrtAmn' (ethereal Monarch may be equipped at level 92+ naked), and Skin of the Vipermagi yield the maximum 125% FCR (25 + 35 + 35+ 30).
    10-frame casting requires at least 138% FCR. Note that if Knives had been an option, it would be true.
  3. Two criteria: (1) Monster equivalent item TC# >= TC# of base item, (2) mlvl >= lvl (set item quality level). Both must be true for the set item to generate.
    • Cow King's Horns War Hat: lvl=20, level=34 (33 < 34 <= 36, hence TC 36)
    • Cow King's Hide Studded Leather: lvl=20, level=8 (TC 9)
    • Cow King's Hooves Heavy Boots: lvl=20, level=7 (TC 9)
    The Cow King (TC 12, mlvl 31) could drop the latter two, but not the former, whereas Hell Bovine (TC 36, mlvl 28, 30 if Champion, or 31 if random Unique or Minion) could drop any of them.
    In short, all three parts are dropable already in Normal.
  4. Either {10,20,20,20} or {20,20,10,20} (FBolt,FBall,Meteor,FM). Synergy bonuses and +% Fire Skill Damage (FSD) from FM are multiplicative, not additive.
    Now, synergising skills apply only spent skill points (blvl, base skill level) whereas FM applies a bonus corresponding to its actual level (lvl, final skill level including skill adders).
    This along with the fact that FBall synergies add twice the bonus of FM (past the first point) explains why it is not wise to max FM over one of the synergies once we include equipment (+skills).
  5. The trick here is to decipher that the formula merely applies a lower cap of 1 and an upper cap of 20 to [(ilvl - reqlvl)/4] + 1.
    Chain Lightning is a tier 4 spell (reqlvl=18) and since the highest possible ilvl is 99 (Hell Baal), we get

    [(99 - 18)/4] + 1 = [81/4] + 1 = 21

    which is then modified to 20 by the upper cap. So, the maximum is level 20 Chain Lightning and a quick check reveals that ilvl >= 94 is necessary and sufficient.
    In other words: Hell Diablo {mlvl 94}, Nihlathak {mlvl 95} or Baal {mlvl 99}. They are certainly capable of dropping a Lightsabre Phase Blade.
Winners: ultranuden IRL, ubernuden IRL (3 correct answers ~ 30.00 FG, split). Five guild members participated in R1. Thanks.
