Do you know how much they get paid? My friend got 2 $5,000 checks, now his monthly income they pay him, cant even afford him an apartment, and hes served 2 duties to iraq.

it's not about just that. I'm going to protect and defend my country, I don't care if I die.
they pay you a lot actually, find me a job that pays your life, health, and dental insurance, and pay for you to travel anywhere in the world that you want, and pay you for any extra dependents you have which is a wife or children, and if you live off base, they give you an extra thousand, and if you live on base, you don't have to pay for it, AND you get your paycheck every month.
both of my parents were in the military for over 20 years, don't tell me the military is bad for you.

Your right, the military is not bad for you, its HORRIBLE for you.

My best friend is in the Airforce, and everytime i talk to him he says how horrible it is and he cannot believe how much of the mumbo jumbo bullshit he believed to join it.

Doesnt matter what position he chooses, there all gonna kill em. And if the war doesnt kill em, the drugs they feed the soldiers will, and if that doesnt kill em, then he will himself years later.
