u get hit more in front, less in middle and even less in back (although you should only go back if youre a magician)
and to heal youself/other select your heal charm and click your name or the other peoples name
also try to only go up to wave 2 then making a ng, faster xp, less regen time and lower chance of you dying

ok --- You need good armor to take less dmg

Where you stand affects how often/amount of dmg you take front most/middle less/ back least
