how do people know thats 100% true?

Test it yourself. Have exactly 75% resistance. Test how much damage is done to yourself from some elemental attack with a decent minimum/maximum attack (fireball is good for this because it's like 20-21K or whatever). Die. Now pick up your body and get hit with the same attack. It will do a LOT more damage.

We've tested it, many times
