And how much of a chance is there you get a good item?

chance is random.... like EVERYTHING in the ENTIRE game....
The items MUST be MAGICAL.... (no non-magics).

Must be 100% the EXACT SAME KIND


you transmute by putting 1 item in the top slot (the slots work just like buying/selling on the market place)
then you put the second item on the bottom slot...
then you press transmute


EXAMPLE:
good...
Arcane focused heal
Arcane Focused heal

bad
Mystical fire I
Magical fire I
