however, you say when u try to start it rolls over and tries  to start but doesn't quite start?  and this after your alternator belt came off?  have you tried unhooking the negative cable from your battery for 5 mins to let the computer reset?  just a thought but maybe ur computer has an error from when your belt came off your alternator.

and yes this is happening right now, after the alternator belt came off
and i replaced a new one in the car, along with a new pulley etc.
any other suggestions i can possibly do? i will b doing this 1st thing in the morning 2 morrow
