Here we go then, students are numbered 1 - 4, and labelled as S1, S2, S3, S4.
The bill is for £132 for 3 months.
S1 lived with a friend in the house for 1.5 months, (none of the other housemates were here, but consumption was for two)
Friend then leaves and S2 + S3 moved into the house, with S1, for the next 0.5 months,
S4 moved into the house with 1, 2, and 3 for the last 1 month.
This means:
S1 has been in for 3 months (with a friend for first 1.5 months)
S2 has been in for 1.5 months
S3 has been in for 1.5 months
S4 has been in for 1 month
- considering that consumption is increased by 50% after the first 1.5 months (from two to three students), and then by another 50% after 2 months (from three to four students), how much does each student owe towards the bill?
S1 owes ...
S2 owes ...
S3 owes ...
S4 owes ...
