I been playing LS for a while now and it's ok...but then again, I just suicide my magician all the time at 70 anyway

(though I think HC is manageable, doesn't really lag right now)

Is it possible to upgrade (via cube recipe) armor(s) in non-ladder?

I have a few 3os Mage Plates that if possible, I would like to up to superior prior to rolling them into Enigmae (<--made that up).

I am hoping to become enigmatic.....

white and socketed items can't even be upped in ladder...

You can't upgrade anything in nonladder and you cannot roll whites into superiour, even in ladder

This formula changes the base item type from the normal to exceptional version. For example Quilted Armor is turned into Ghost Armor. This does NOT convert the item to the Exceptional Unique version of the Unique Item. So you cannot for example use this formula to transform Greyform into The Spirit Shroud. Unique item bonuses remain the same; only the item it's based on is upgraded. This can be used to upgrade Ethereal Items also. They will continue to be Ethereal after they are upgraded. Also if the item is socketed, then jewels or runes and their mods will also remain. Armor refers to any sort of armor, including helms, boots, belts, gloves and shields, not just body armor.

to my knowledge, there is no method to up a non-unique armor. this formula works on things such as magefists gloves. there is a second formula beyond this to up armors a 2nd time......ladder only though. check arreat summit under "the horadric cube" for more recipes.
