I'm glad things are calming down a bit - and so glad your job is helping out! It was hell getting time to see my grandfather when I worked at Fifth Third...they were like, "You need to request time off at least two weeks before" and I was like "gee, I'm sorry, next time I'll tell people to give me two weeks notice that they're about to die". Argh.

I wish. I don't have the money :P

I just build imaginary computers when I get bored lol

He neglects to mention that he NEVER uses his current PC computer - in fact, he uses it so rarely that he gave it over to me when mine died without hesitation. He only uses his laptops anyway, he doesn't need it.

It's taken me 20 years in the Chicago Car Biz to find a genuinely compassionate employer. They have been absolutely fantastic during my daughter's illness last Winter and now with Mom's illness and death. The only drawback is it's still the car biz.....when my Dad died in '88, I did a complete life makeover....moving from sleepy Bloomington, Indiana to Chicago and starting what was for many years a "fast track" career.

I am now reflecting on my current state as well. If I could find one of these fabled "green" jobs that would allow me more time with my Family.....

Ugh, career choices are so rough. I have absolutely no idea what I want to do with my life. I was going to med school, but then I got married and decided it wouldn't work out that way. Now I have no idea what to do with my life or what to go to school for...plus the only jobs I've ever had have been in banking and banks aren't exactly hiring right now. Bah.

Let's start a solar panel business, then. I'm a fan of the green thing. :D
