anyone know how to use 2 users on my comp to load 2 d2's?????

first off, you must have two copies of D2 itself, meaning 2 sets of CD-Keys.

I personally use VMware. (Virtual Computer) It's a LOT faster to switch between the D2 instances.

i do have 2 cd keys, GO ON

IIRC:

Iif you chose to do the fast user switching, all you gotta do is install D2 with one set of keys (do full install, and update the LoD install to Full). Fully update it patchwise as well. I believe you might have to copy the MUSIC.MPQ files from the CD's to your directory as well.

Next you RENAME your D2 folder to something else, D2 is basically a portable app, so it will work like this.

Now, you install D2 again, with your other set of keys.

When you need to switch instances (users), get out of D2, hit Windows-Key + L

now can i make a new user? and rename this one then just DL the other one on other user?

it doesn't matter if you install both instances on the user you always do everything on, the other user will be using DIFFERENT files. That's the key there, you just have to make sure you are opening up the proper D2's on each user. eg, open up the Copied D2 on User2, the other one on User1.

I don't know how to explain it any simpler, except to say that the users use the same files (meaning it is not separate installations of windows, etc...) they both have access to the program files installed on your computer.

do i go to user2 and install d2 again, but just name it something different? or wat plz help!!! ;D
