Hi guys.
My Mother passed away last night in our home, that she has shared with us these last eight years. She was 84 years old. She was comfortable, and had spent the last three days surrounded by her Sons, and Daughters in Law and had seen most of her Grandchildren in the past few weeks.
Mom led a full active life until about 8 weeks ago, when her health problems manifested themselves. Her decline was rapid, and shocking to us all as a result. 2 months ago she was driving, cooking and vibrant. Within 4 weeks she was bedridden and unable to do anything other than prepare for her passing in a dignified manner.
My thanks to all of you that have expressed your thoughts and prayers for me and my Family. This is especially hard for my eight year old daughter. She and Grandma were inseparable.
I will slowly return to a more active presence in the Guild. Thanks fro bearing with my abscence.
Please accept my most sincere condolences on the loss of your mother. It is a feeling that I can only imagine as I never experience the death of someone so close to me. Life works in mysterious ways and we all know it will end some day but it is also something we are often not prepared for or would rather not think about. When it happens to someone so close I can only imagine that it propels us into a different world, a world of sorrow.
COT can be considered as your home away from home and your family away from family and our thoughts are with you to overcome the difficult times ahead. When you need someone to talk to, get on teamspeak and talk to us, we will be here for you. Write in guild chat or pm us if you just need to just get something out, we will be here.
On a positive note I am glad that she was able to see her family around her in her last few days this must of been very comforting for her, now it is time for us and others around to comfort you.
My thoughts are with you and your family, if you need assistance at anytime or just someone to talk to come talk to me or other members, that’s what we are here for, to help each other. Take care my friend and take the time you need, we will be here.
