The monster will be 1 level higher than either the item level you throw in, or your char level (whichever is higher)

The item you get back will always be rare+. Magic luck helps, char level doesn't help (as far as getting better items back goes)

Level 64 is ideal. Can well 55 items and they're relatively easy

Get a ~125++++ damage charm/heal and int armor/wep
Mana regen etc as other stuff

It's like an mfer.
