One of the funniest articles I've ever read, it's kinda long but completely worth it.

The worst part is that's actually pretty true and I've encountered pretty much everything that guy talks about.

Don't get me wrong, I think Blizzard did an amazing job with World of Warcraft. However it seems to have moved from a constantly challenging game where Blizzard reps listened to their fan base and delivered almost everything you could ask for to a desperate attempt to get as much money out of the game as blizzard can before the entire community inevitably disperses. I'll also say this, Blizzard knows exactly what their doing with an MMO and they do it well, it was almost impossible for me to stop playing. I stopped when I literally had no more money left and wouldn't allow my friend to pay for my account anymore. On a psychological dependence level it could nearly be considered a drug.

That's pretty scary, seriously. I feel that I'm addicted to JSP but nothing like that...I just like the challenge of making fg here. When I lost internet in Aug for 33 days, I really didn't miss it that much, I thought that I'd go thru withdrawals at first since I'm on my comp so much but I found other things to do and was ok with it.

It's true, just like if I went back to my graphics forum, I'd be there and only there...it's how I am, even though I can multi-task, I stick to one major thing at a time. It's weird but that's how I be. lol I like it here so I'll stick around for a bit longer. heh <3

Yup played for 4 years, glad I don't anymore and can't see myself ever going back. Even in the event I did it would only be for the PvP which isn't totally life consuming. 10 arena matches a week if you're sucking 50-100 if you're on a winning streak.

Crazy how something like this can make you feel as if you're not in control, as if you can't make your own choice. For example today, I saw that someone was trying to get locked/banned from here, so that they wouldn't be tempted to come back. I hope I don't ever get to that point with anything. I like to think that I have some sort of control over my life. lol
