he is impressive in his fights.... yes


he is very skilled and crafty.... yes


but, pride didnt have the caliber of fighters to pit against him like the UFC can....


UFC fighters train for months to defeat an oponent with a structured game plan, and with the foundation and way pride was ran, this was rather difficult, and the fighters had to train for all fighters.....


which was PERFECT for him, as sambo is a great MMA style on its own.....


I think, if ever in the UFC, he will be out struck, out grappled, and out submitted....


of course, he is smart, and hopefully the people that hold those things I mentioned over him, he will utilize different technique...


like, grapple the striker, and strike the grappler...

but, we may never know.....

All of fedors greatest opponents were easily dismantelted and washed up when they debuted in the UFC..

I was a huge mirko crocop fan,.... but, pride just isnt the same as UFC

pride is more about the warrior spirit... where UFC is only about putting on a good show

I feel you, but at the same time you know that if he was able to train universally when given an opponent and the opportunity to go in and dismantle them and train for that particular fighter it will make him even more fierce.
