How come I suck at everything?
Im 13 and I just feel suckish at everything I do. I used to be smart but I sort of let myself go. I have no athletic ability and zero drawing skills. I play the cello and i guess im ok at it but im not all that artsy. Ive never had a boyfriend and ive only been kissed once. Im not really overweight or under but Im kinda chubby. I wish I could at least be good at something. Please answer!!!

I guarantee that you don't suck. I hate all sports also and I don't have a boyfriend, plus I'm not gorgeous either. Those things don't make you. I'm 14 and going to 9th grade. There came a time in 8th grade when I realized that I just don't care what others think anymore. You aren't perfect. So what? No one is.
I go to a private school where everyone is pretty much alike, I was different. If you want to get into something positive, work at your grades. Study harder and pay attention more. You're in middle school, you have time to start caring. Its amazing how good grades boosted my self-esteem and made me feel pretty good about myself.
I'm proud to be the nerd or an art geek. I like Art, but you like band. I'd kill to be able to play the cello. Plus, you probably have a lot of unnoted talents that you'll realize later on.
Clearly, you're actually pretty cool, you just havent realized it. Don't let middle school beat you into the ground, thats how I felt for pretty much all 3 years, and now I realize how stupid it was.

Have you ever made someone smile? Helped someone out of the goodness of your heart? Have you ever surprised someone and made their day? Well, if you have ever done any of these selfless things, you are a success. You are ony 13. You have time to develop skills, relationships, and abilities. This is your time to try new things to find what you could be interested in. Have fun. Don't judge yourself. Think about learning things and having fun and helping other. Don't be too hard on yourself. Love yourself. I am glad you wrote in tonight. I hope I have given you something to think about. Have fun this summer.

It just takes some people longer than others to find something they really want to get good at...your just a baby at 13, you can get what you want in life if you have comitment and patience. Nikki Sixx spearheaded the success of Motley Crue. He didn't even know what a bass guitar was when he first got the group together..he actually walked in with a 6 string and they all laughed at him. Look at what he's done since then...wow.
