the hotel we stayed in was actually better than most over here. but they take care of americans in isreal.
just take off your shoes before you go in the dome of the rock....almost got shot down for that...
uhh my hotel room in tokyo literally consisted of a 7 ft hallway (the bathroom branched off from this and I've been in bigger bathrooms in motorhomes) then immediately run into the bed and a cot. But generally the rooms and services are much less in other countries than they are here. Especially in japan, they feel like they will go to hell if they waste any space whatsoever.
