You can play with your old game/software with the retro compatibility " Windows XP" ... blabla

Right click on your d2 shortcut
Select Compatibility
Select Windows XP SP2 ( or SP3 dont care )
Apply
Start your d2 and should work right now :)

or directly to your diablo 2.exe and game.exe
