You have to play to her feelings mate.

She had this thing that she was always afraid that we would keep our love for each other shadowed from everyone. She didn't want it to seem that we were ashamed of dating each other, and I just had to remind her that there was nothing to hide.

The day after my girl and I had our conversation about how we're distancing apart and the love between us was diminishing, we were at a club for a mutual friend's birthday. Honestly, if you had seen the way she acted, no one in the world would have known we were together. She pretty much completely ignored me the entire night.

The DJ in the club was a good friend of mine, and I had told him about the predicament I was in and helped me set up something to remind her of our love. At about midnight he stopped everything, and I mean EVERYTHING. Music cut, lights came back on (although still dimmed), and the lights guy pointed a spot light at me in the middle of one of the stages.

When my girlfriend and I first started dating, I wrote her a poem, and that poem I recited to her then. I have never seen so much joy and happiness in her eyes. She just needed reminding of how much I needed her in my life, and also had to remind her that there was something that brought us together and that we were ment for each other. Our love right now is stronger than it has ever been since then.

I may have looked like a complete ass in front of everyone, and perhaps a total pussy to others, but I didn't care. Just seeing my girl crying with happiness and love was the only thing in the world that mattered to me.

Man, honestly. If a girl is worth going after, do whatever you can to keep her.

It's even hard just writing out how I did it, but courage and fright take over... just do what you gotta do.

I well and truly believe that if I hadn't done what I did, we would not be together to this day.
