u gotta put on more muscle then if u wana get cut, then do start doing mad cardio.
u should honestly be doing both eating alot of lean meat, fish, eggs. DO NOT eat any kind of fast food if u wana get cut u can't eat that shit.
i really think u should ask ur dad for some work out exercises with weight training chicks like muscles and the bigger the better.
i just started weight training i can't even begin to tell u how much better i feel. u don't have to get mad big and strong if u want to get rid of that fat cardio + weight training is the way to go.
