One of the first few times I astral projected, I saw my dead dog standing next to my bed when I popped out of my body. Her name was Cinamon (yes spelled that way). She barked at me, and turned and ran through the closed door of my room and through the wall of the house into my yard. I followed her, because it was obvious she was trying to get me to, and she stopped close to the edge of my property near (but not exactly) where her grave is. She started scratching at the ground like she wanted to get at something buried there. So I snapped back to my physical body, popped up, and went out to the spot where I saw her scratching at. I dug down with my hands about a third of a foot, and found her old dog tag. It had been lost years earlier before she died, and I never could find it. Nobody in my family has believed me about this experience, but it is the very reason I believe astral projection takes place in an actual other dimension rather than just in the projector's head.
It was a surreal experience and I miss her greatly, she was essentially my best friend

But it was one of the most amazing things I've ever had happen to me before. I haven't seen her since, but I haven't actively tried meeting up with her on the astral as I already feel I have closure thanks to this. Not much use holding on to her after she's already passed away. If she comes to me again though, I'll let people know
