Hey guys,
After some research, testing, debugging, I came up with a solution that appears to work. It's a little ackward, but hey, it solves the two exploits that were found with the other way.
So, how does it work? Okay, bear with me here, this is a little confusing, and different than most games:
- Press and Hold the DOWN ARROW
- With the down arrow held down, click the monster to initiate an attack
- Keep the down arrow held to continue attacking without having to click the mouse
Notes:
- If you release the down arrow, the attack stops
- If you move the mouse off the monster, or flip off of the LS window/page in ANY WAY, it should stop (let me know if it doesn't!)
- I will NOT change the key you press and hold. Take it or leave it.
- Only works for monster attacks, not heals
It is not possible to have a mouse press and hold, and have no exploits with it, with Flash (either in AS2 or AS3). I'm actually surprised this works, or at least, appears to work.
[edit] You will need to refresh/clear cache to get the client copy that has this feature. Yes, you can still click click click the old way, OF COURSE.
Enjoy.
