I've had a wrong number caller for about a year or so. At first he would ask for Paul and I would say wrong number, and that was the end. He's an older fellow probably in his 80's or 90's, and I think he's just looking for someone to talk to. After several wrong number calls asking for this Paul fellow he just started talking about anything when I answered. So when I'm not busy when he calls I just stop and listen to what he says.
He's rambled about politics, gardening, his late wife and hunting. The conversations are usually one sided, and only last a few minutes or so and maybe once or twice a month. When he's done he normally says "you have a blessed night Paul" and hangs up. If I have to let him go I wait till he pauses for a moment and tell him the kids are calling and he tells me to have a blessed night and hangs up.
It's gotten to the point I sort of expect his calls, and wonder what he will talk about next. I've searched numbers similar to mine looking for the real Paul, but never found him.

Had a guy with the exact same number as me but the last digit is a 9 instead of an 8. He has accidentally called me many times while trying to check his voicemail but the first time went something like
"Hello?... Hello?"
"...What the fuck? Does john really not know how to leave a fucking voicemail?"
"...this isn't your voicemail"
