Home invasion. I was 18 and I was at home by myself while my parents were out of the state. It was late at night and I heard the door bust inward. I grabbed the shotgun underneath my bed, called 911, stayed in my room, and he opened my door. I chambered a shell and he drew his pistol, so i shot him. Twice. Blood was everywhere. The sheriff's office arrived about 5 minutes later(we live out in the country a ways). They told me that I did nothing wrong. I still am haunted by it two years later.
