When I was 22, a good friend and I drove to Chicago to protest the1968 democratic national convention. We slept in his van at night, and during the day we would go out and speak truth to power. It wasn't easy. Pigs were busting heads, throwing tear gas, trying to tear us down. But I have to say, it was this song that kept us going. We kept looking forward to the weekend, when the US would finally leave Vietnam, and we could have fun fun fun. God bless you, Bob Dylan, for everything.

This song held my Grandmother together through chemotherapy. Growing up, her and her friends all gathered around the old 2-way radio, none of them could wait for the weekend. Now, about 40 years later, my Grandma went through treatment for colon cancer. Her only request every day was "play the song, one more time". As the song drew to a close on Friday, March 5th, 2010. Dartha Jean Brooks passed away with a smile on her face. Thanks, Bob. You brought joy to millions. we so excited.
