a kiterjesztéssel lesz a tré szerintem. ha pl .gifv a vége, akkor már nem jól jeleníti meg. töröld ki a v-t és megy is.

+SalaComMander I think both metric and celsius are inferior in every way for day to day life. George Orwell Describes the fallacy quite well in 1984 when discussing the size of drinks. I don't remember the size used in the book but the main character was, for the sake of argument, complaining that a liter was too little and 2 liters was too much. A pint was perfect.

For every day use both the imperial and Fahrenheit system are superior in every way. I very much agree that for every day use it doesn't matter what temperature pure water boils at. Nor does it matter what the diameter of the Earth is which is in fact what the metric system is based off of.

For every day use we need systems of measurement which make sense in human scale. That's not to say it has to relate to our bodies (although it is an argument I agree with) but that we really are not good at divisions. I am six foot tall. It's a nice even number and is divisible by 6 units of measurement. If you don't know how long six feet is then you can easily imagine 6 rulers lines up and get it fairly accurate. Imagining 1.8288 meters is just not something the human brain can really do very well. It's simply two large of a distance with too much room for error if we are off even 0.02 meters as that is a full inch. Similarly 182.88 cm is too small of a unit and there is no way you would be able to imagine 182.88 cm stacked on top of each other.

Frankly the only thing wrong with the imperial system for day to day life is that we use fractions instead of decimals below an inch. Life would be far simply if we based measurements on tenths of an inch instead of halving each subsequent measurement. But for the day to day life where we measure between an inch (roughly the length beyond your last thumb joint) and 100 feet (30m) the imperial scale works better with the way we relate to the world.

The bottom line is that for day to day life the metric system uses a unit of measurement which is too large or too small. Those used to the metric system might not realize it because of being accustomed to it but there's a lot of truth in the claim. Typically america is pointed as being the weird one who didn't adopt metric but despite adopting the metric system various parts of Canadia often use both depending on the situation. I am an american but exactly how I said I hate metric between 1 inch and 100 feet is how many canadians feel as well. What it comes down to is that for day to day life when we are not running around with rulers and calculators to get exact measurements the imperial system makes more sense on a human scale.

And this same concept is likely what you feel when you consider Celsius. Conceptually it's a system that makes sense and is why so many defend it. I know when growing up I had the same "why wouldn't water freeze at 0 degrees?" question and fully understand why others feel it is better just because it is odd that water freezes at 32.

However, let's bring it back to day to day life. The temperature where I live in New York goes between 0 degrees and 100 degrees most years. There's times where it goes passed either extreme but as you alluded to 0 is darn cold and 100 is darn hot. It's very much a human scale. Water might not boil at 100 degrees Fahrenheit but humans certainly feel like they do. Likewise although it is bitter out at 32 degrees it really isn't until weather goes around zero that exposure to the weather becomes a major concern.

And for one final point, generally people prefer the average room temperature of 23 degrees C which comes out to 73.4 degrees Fahrenheit according to a google search. On one hand I am happy with that answer because I know 73 degrees is what we say it is in the states but on the other hand I have some suspicion that the definition was changed from 73 degrees to the nearest whole number in Celsius since most of the world adopted the system. But at the end of the day there are people who prefer a cooler and warmer environments. Smaller measurement units means we can fine tune to our human scale preferences without going into decimals. It just baffles my mind how both systems could be so reliant on decimals and yet people are perfectly content. I couldn't imagine telling people to set the thermostat to 18.3 degrees C any more than I can imagine the look on my boss' face when I tell him I'll have my project done in two and a half minutes. I'd have to spend two and a half minutes explaining why I was weird enough to be that specific...yet the majority of the world adopted two systems which should only exist for scientific measurements.

Mindig bízom benne, hogy az ilyen műveleti sorrendes feladatok alatt külön szelektáltan gyűlik össze a csőcselék és még véletlenül sem az átlagról van szó...
