I remember getting banned for it once, which was complete bullshit. It likely will not happen to you; I think I got the ban rescinded via appeal.
However, it's a different situation entirely if you type in chat. Seriously, I bet 50% of the bans that happen could be avoided if you just do not type at all. Typing makes everything worse for you.
You can say "sorry, I'm going to go jungle because I think I'll farm more effectively that way," and you're golden, because even if you get banned you can just refer the GMs to that statement. Don't type "fuck it, going to jungle," etc
The only time jungling will you get banned, I think, is if your team asks you to push and you say something like "fuck you guys, you suck and I'm gonna just farm," If you say something like that, justify it with "so we have a better chance late"
I'd say 90+% of bans are from typing in chat. At least, 90% of bans are made worse because of this. GMs can't predict your motives or attitude as a player purely based on your actions. If you give them away by typing, then that's your own fault.
When throwing a game or simply giving up on winning, never say anything negative in chat. Makes games easier.
