boots give more then move speed

is your ult always active?
plus
steamboots gives you nice cheap stats and needed AS, esp. for early game

boots also make farming a lot faster, wether you're in jungle or moving between lanes you're obviously not popping your ult to get from camp to camp, easily adds another 50-70 gpm in the long run. Boots are also very economically priced as they can add a wide range of attributes for very little gold if comparing to mid-luxury items.

Not getting boots to me is a bad idea, the one exception might be lycan/warbeast as he has max move speed when his ult is popped, but I personally would still grab boots of speed just for the camp to camp farming.

no you clearly have comprehension issues. Hes talking about predator who generally ends up in the jungle for half of the game. Boots are a must on almost every hero, he is trying to argue that predator doesn't need boots because of his ult. He is wrong.

Its a must on every hero. I only saw once on Scandal that he didnt have boots @ 30 min mark on DR, but that was because he was taking a shot at getting kuldra fast.
