Just started playing. Pretty good game, first started out playing Dota, then my friends got me into playing LoL.
I quit LoL because of the terrible community and just the god awful game itself.
HON imo has a less trollish community and all in all the game is just alot better than LoL
The only bad thing i dont like about this game is the fact that all the heros are imported from Dota and some seems unbalanced.

I don't know what drugs you are on but this is incorrect. HoN is one of the worst communities in all of gaming especially when it comes to dealing with new players.

At least in LoL your first few games you play against bots. In HoN you have a good chance of playing against a person 100x your skill level. Plus every one is a dick and passes the blame around when losing.

Your first couple games must have been with people who doesn't speak English.


Well in LoL they don't design heroes that are unfun to deal with, heroes that have tough skill shots, or heroes that have skills that are unintuitive for new players.

HoN has a lot of heroes that are a bitch to deal with, Tempest has a 4 second AOE disable, vindicator drains your mana, bloodhunter wrecks noobs because his ult damages them while they run away, and gladiator has hard to land skill shots that change games if you land them. Interestingly enough those are all dota heroes. S2's hero designs can do those things too, while having a gap closer.

As you play more games and play with better people you will see there aren't that many imbalances in HoN. You can counter the cheesy heroes or ban them if you play a banning mode.

so far the community doesnt seem that bad and i've meet those who dont speak english and yea thats pretty frustrating but the community seems alot nicer in HON than in LoL

in LoL every ranked game there always seems to be 1 or more immature 12 year old boy who talks shit just being hella annoying

HoN was alot better balance wise in beta tbh. gemini, drunken, fayde are definitely not balanced, just to name a few

there are counters for all those heroes, i think soul reaper is very underrated in this hotbl heavy metagame

and gem hasn't been used in a comp game yet
