all the sound in the background disappears as soon as I start HoN, someone who had this problem before?

Same issue for me from time to time... Most the time it happens if I leave HoN up for a while and come back to play though. Exiting and restarting HoN solves the issue for me though

Right click your speaker at bottum right. Click Mixer. See if your other sounds are turned down while hon is open.

Did you try to run HoN as admin? Not sure if I had the same problem as you but when my sound bugged, I just ran HoN as admin and it was fine
