Okay, So i used to be a 1750 solid, while i was running in the reddithon tournament. We got to semi-finals because our team was very good. Shit happens, they switch teams on us after 1-1 against another team and we end up losing. No big deal.
After that, We started playing 2's and 3's and 4's in MM but no more group of 5 from the stress of the tourny. Since then i've lost 100 MMR Playing Solo que. As for why i'm REALLY FUCKING MAD.

It all starts with a game this morning. I'm at 1635 now mind you. I get into the que with a Brown Valk who DEMANDS MID. (If you go mid, He'll sit and ruin lane) After that, Our DG shadows chronos, i'm like Eh DG(Just a starting thought) I look at his stats, and what do ya know, We're about to be carried by the .5 Chronos, G FUCKING G.

So I'm tort, Which i can easily play mid and dominate( I later switched to mid and saw the rancid OJ Devourer hooks, He blew dick) But still ended beating out brown valk. In top lane(hellbourne side) With Chronos, I'm auto attack harassing corrupted deciple. Now I get this fucker to about 40% life with auto attacks, Catch him in the jungle with chronos next to me, Stun him, dish out 2 more auto attacks, and he's at 5% life, no more. Our .5 Carry chronos is sitting next to me, trying to run at him. A Chronos with no boots, chasing a cd with boots. Long story short the retard doesn't time leap for the kill, we end up losing the lane after level 3 and the game goes on to be a 25-5 Shitstomp 15 minute concede.

My question:

hmmmm, sounds like you "pub stomped" to 1750 with friends, many would say your true skill level isn't around there, i would agree.

i've solo pubbed to 1800 numerous times, some tips on doing this daunting task:

- remember the 3 C's : Calm Cool and Collected.
- try to go mid every game
- stay away from hard carries such as the dark lady, chronos, flint beastwood, etc. try to play heros like valk, hag, dr repulsor.
- if you can't get mid because of a situation like you said above, then go jungle, learn to play an effective wildsoul, tempest, ophelia (not so much here), legionaire. wildsoul is imbalanced right now, master him and with just wildsoul you can solo que yourself to 1800. tempest is just imba if played right, which is being active in the sidelane giving your solo lane and mid plenty of ganks.
- got a griefer in your game? stay cool, explain he may ruin this game for you but you will surely ruin his week by RAPing him, don't threaten, just suggest.
- VOIP, be active over voice chat, encourage team mates to use it as well.
- assume leadership position, don't assume someone will step up, do it yourself.
- and this last one i can't stress enough, have fun! yeah that may sound retarded but it's true, being held hostage in a game that is clearly over by griefers? just leave.

On the contrary to your first statement, This a team game, If i'm with friends and being good at my role, Which is Support when i'm playing with my clan i do exactly what a support should do. Then i go solo, and support .5 carries, how do you expect to win, even using your 3 C's method? I can play the semi-carry/ganking mid role aswell, But 90% of the time you get an ignorant asshole who says they'll camp the mid lane if you try and go mid. Explain how you're supposed to deal with that? The % of bads that demand mid increases at exponential levels the lower your mmr gets.


Edit: Even angrytestie with his godly 450 gpm farm can't beat games when his team feeds the other carries into oblivion. Being solo in the lower bracket, if you're not mid is probably a 35% win rate.



43668303 <--- Prime example of what i mean. .5 Fa 3/13 I'm on kraken farming 400 gpm solid for 30 minutes, can't win because fa and top lane fed keeper/sw way too much. i was at 130 cks 5-0 25 mins in with daemonic/treads/helm and still lost because of the feeders.

being good at this game doesn't just mean you are good at playing support, means you are good at all roles.
after ur statement, u are probably at a skill level of 1750 mmr when it comes to support, but not 1750 mmr at other roles.

I farm just fine on semi's/carries as well, It's just the opposite story. No support/wards/other lanes feed.

it used to be 54% but has gone down dramatically in the past few weeks. As for my KDR .8, with 4.0 Wards Is not bad at all, Nor do i try and play for "stats" anymore. I play in the mindset of winning the game, not getting my stats higher. If we can win, i don't care how many times i have to die to do it.

edit: this account is also a year and a half old, with no stat resets.

ok i must insert a LOL here, you say you are strictly a support player, yet only 4.0 wards per game with a .8 kdr. also you should care how many times you die, dying lowers gpm. you really shouldn't be bitching about bad players, when in reality you aren't that good of one yourself.
