Not sure how exactly to play him..

Like when I ult and initiate in teamfights sometimes I fail, like I try to trap 2 people in the mummy wall and then I instantly die

Or my team doesn't do enough follow up and we lose the fight

So what exactly is your goal in teamfights as pharaoh?? To trap carries/support/nukers or what?

get tank items and try to single their team out. someone who relies a lot on positioning is good too. try to initiate on an important hero and dont waste your time on supports. go for heroes that dont have sh
