you need a lot of rules to set this up since HoN doesn't have a 1v1 mode

Most people play same hero, so you can't counter pick. Most people play without powerups since those are luck based.

Most people play no stats so you can leave the game early. And you can play first to 3 hero kills, or first to take out mid tower (or multiple towers)

Then there are some item restrictions since you get ~3k gold. Helm of the black legion is retarded in a 1v1, and so is mystic vestments. Some people also frown on bottle ferrying. You can also agree to start with enough gold to get a crow and ~600 gold.

Sounds like HON is full of pussies. In Dota the only thing that would be considered is no runes... but those should be allowed as well. Rune control is part of the game. First kill or first tower=win

apparently you can create a 1v1 game, and you get 603 starting gold, so no need to deal with 3k starting gold
