I'm not very experienced in running 1-2-2 or 2-2-1 lanes and was wondering if you had any good picks/strategies to think about when you're picking a 2-2-1, 1-2-2.

panda+nymph should be a decent lane, I think the most important thing will be to have burst damage and things that hold your opponent in place in mid

vodoo jester + pyro

vodoo jester + hammerstorm

pyro hammer still owns hard

along with magmus and blacksmith

bs + pyro lane is fun

if with 1-2-2 you mean
solo short lane
2 mid
2 hard lane

then for the middle lane you should always have kill potencial so if the solo hero decide to take a creep he will die,
also make sure that you have 2 range or very strong melee + range combo stronger than the enemy can make if they decide to switch it up to dual mid
myrmidon is quite good to have in a dual mid lane but you should rly only use it with a range hero unless they have a melee mid and if they decide to switch it up they will get like an andro or smt else short ranged there

I think I'd prefer a strong melee+ranged in mid rather than dual ranged

like:
nymph+panda
nymph+pred
glac+pred
nymph+peb

but as long as you've got a stronger combo mid than they can make from splitting their trilane it should be fine I guess

maybe the strong melee+range combo is better of facing their old trilane thus stopping their main carry and have 2 ranged mid
