Take a look I believe this should be Stickied But hey if it doesnt get stickied I'm not going to cry because well if every1 started warding like me we might have stiffer competition out there! SO generally when all you players think of warding you guys THINK OMG RUNES!!!!!!, or ENEMY JUNGLE GANK GANK GANK!!!!! While its true these kinds of wards are good but respectively they have to be placed at the appropriate phases of the game. Below are some Warding Locations and HINTS as to when they should be placed and some reasons as to WHY? Well get to that Trust me. I went ahead and Uploaded pictures for both sides so if you are playing on hellbourne and want to know how you can improve your chances of winning with strategic warding Take a look at the HELLBOURNE SECTION and you guessed it! if your on the legion and want kno how to improve your chances of winning using strategic wards! TAKE a look at the LEGION SECTION

Also another thing to keep in mind These warding places are a lot less likely to get counter warded because most people do not think about these strategic warding locations so they do not think oh hey my enemy just warded there i should counter that mainly because they are underused locations.

HELLBOURNE:

Behind
Infront I prefer this one*
Location: Top Long Lane Both same lane You can decide which is ezier to place either works just the same I prefer the first one infront of the tower rather than behind because it can see the river leading up to the lane.
Reasoning: Refer to the legion Long Lane Reasoning for helping carry farm safely.
Strategic Thinking Behind this ward: Same reasoning as the legion version.
Timing: same timing as legion refer to other picture for more info.

Location: Mid Lane
Reasoning: Refer to the legion Mid Lane Reasoning for winning mid and more potential gank awareness / rune awareness / catching your enemy off guard.
Strategic Thinking Behind this ward: Same reasoning as the legion version.
Timing: same timing as legion refer to other picture for more info.

LEGION

Location: MID
Reasoning: You don't always have vision of your enemy when your lane becomes pushed course there are players who say if you are playin a perfect game your lane shouldn't be pushed this is nonsense nobody is perfect. Troll somewhere else. This is a Clearcut advantage over mid if used and abused in the right way. if you do not make use of the ward it is a waste. That being said I would not use this ward if i was Soulstealer facing a thunderbringer seeing as i kno i can land a non targeted nuke in the fog, but if roles were switched I would use the ward as thunderbringer so that i may land my targeted spells when ss thinks i should be fogged.
Strategic Thinking Behind this ward: say you are Devourer you can land a hook your opponent would think is blind, thats a kill that's the difference between you winning your lane. Dev isnt the only hero who can benefit from this Perhaps you are thunderbringer you now have vision of your opponent and at will can nuke him down at your leisure perhaps he is a soulstealer and you need to kno his exact position b4 approaching the ramp so that he cannot nuke you down b4 you nuke him down. This ward provides you with vision giving you an advantage and vision you need to dodge the demon hands. I could go on forever about how this can turn the tide in a bout for mid control. This ward also provides you with vision of your enemy letting you kno when he leaves the lane to gank other lanes or when he leaves the lane for the rune and which direction he is going. Also gives you vision of the enemy tower letting you know if anyone is tping into try and gank or push or support the mid hero which could be the difference between you knowing you need to back off or you not knowing and dying.
Timing: Generally I have my ward hoe buy me an early 2nd set of wards I only use 1 i usually place it around lvl 3-5, I save the other ward for when the first set of rune ward/pull ward's have expired so i can re-ward one of the runes to keep me and my team informed of the rune's.

Location:Bottom Lane (I know what you're thinking WHAT THE FUCK KIND OF WARD IS THAT?!)
Reasoning: Your Carry is usually in your bottom lane farming.
Strategic Thinking Behind this ward:This ward provides vision of the lane the tower and enemy hero's coming into the lane. This provides your carry enough vision to farm without fear of being ganked, Now it is important to note this ward alone is effective but when combined with the very common ward pictured below your carry should never get ganked unless he is a moron. and shouldn't be carrying to begin with.

Timing:This really depends but usually it is a good right around the mid - late laning phase right when your transitioning into more people are roaming / ganking and would be thinking hey swift blade is gettin a pretty nasty farm down there in that bottom lane we should take him out! or we're gona lose! thats when your team goes OH SHIT SWIFTS IN TROUBLE PORTAL IN BAM SUP MOTHER FUCKERS WE GOT SWIFTS BACK AND NOW U GONA GET IT. or alternate ending swift portals top and continues farming.
