I'm very highly considering purchasing this, never played WC3 Or any DOTA games but it looks fun.

May buy after TF2/Garry's mod in a few days, since I want to wait till I Recieve my new fan / PSU / GPU before playing HON.

if you're going to buy it without having played dota, you absolutely MUST be patient
the learning curve is arguably the steepest of any game that currently exists

you will undoubtedly blow nut sack for a very long time and must learn to live with it once you begin

Do yourself a favor and go buy wc3 and play dota before getting into hon. You're going to make a shit ton of players angry when you start playing and knowing absolutely nothing.

Oh Trust me I understand fully....I expect to get raped religiously on a regular basis until I learn more hands on about Items, Maps, and even skills to some degree. As well as learning who good and bad counters are for each character.

And Boltz I'm just a noob trying to learn if I piss them off so be it. I tend to be a pretty quick learner though so maybe i'll improve a little quicker than other noobs who know nothing, and i'm not buying the game without watching gameplay vids and doing some research...so I won't be 100% know nothing.

Also I'll have at least 2 friends that will help me learn.

well, you're already better than the majority of hon players
so many kids are terrible, yet aren't open to any advice/criticism whatsoever
so as long as you keep an open mind, you'll progress steadily

You should buy it. Its a really fun game!
Also, if your having a hard time, you can play the tutorial, and practice games! Also theres alot of guides on the internet! I know a guy, who got nr 10 in diamond league in SC II, so he got bored, now he want to rock at HoN, so he's just reading guides and playing practice games 24/7. Thats the right attitude

play the tutorial.... play no stats games until you fully understand every character and every ability and every item.

if you buy it, don't give up that easily since the better you become the more fun the game itself become
