I know I'll be called a noob for asking advice for scout, but I rarely play him and I have a few questions.

When you mid with scout, do you get bottle? With eyes you have complete rune control and should be able to pick up every early rune.

Do you rush runed axe?

I usually get boots (just boots) and then start sustainer.

I saw some guy on youtube not even get runed axe and went shieldbreaker/savage mace and then had marchers on top of that. Was in EM so it was incredibly easy for him to farm those early, but isn't the runed axe/brutalizer/steam boots a better combo?

Just curious on how you guys play him.

Recap Questions:

Start bottle?
If mid?
Rush runed axe?
Or sustainer then finish boots?
Brutalizer or shieldbreaker?


I know the item choices depend on the other team, but for general builds vs any/all.

if you are a 1700+ decent player playing in noob game, you can mid with any hero

but if you are a "noob player" i wouldn't suggest you to go mid unless you know they will have some poor harasser / melee hero
but you don't rly need the bottle all you gotta do is just sit back and farm until you get that runed and then you can pick some insane farm up and do shitload of damage in teamfights

I see, so you would go runed axe over the shieldbreaker?

i'd start with hatchet/shield/runes, to bottle, to marchers, etc
with vanish, all runes should be np, and i find bottle just nice in general to store a DD for an insta vanish rape and for ulting without destroying my mana, etc

I just get Marchers/Shieldbreaker.
Then pick off their intel heroes to get even more buff.
I've only played scout twice though.

First of all, scout aint ment to go mid.. he needs a babysitter, and CKS like hell.. and if u do get farm, go for runed axe.. Its worthless if you get it late, cause you need it to farm up with!
And finish the whole thing before finishing boots.. you got invis, thats enough movementspeed till your axe is done..
and brutalizer is usefull, cause you get more hits in, but since you have them silenced by ward, a slow would do the trick.. a teammate could help, frostburn too or even nullfireblade? but u need a slow..

yep as i said, what you get after runed axe varies from game to game
