magebane is a ricer hero, the game ended before I amassed in kills

Here's a simple formula:

If the magebane has a bad early game and is not babysat he will be bad at all stages of the game. (NON-EM / Mid-high level play)

He doesn't have much of a carry skillset other than the fact of his good agility gain, it's just his farming capabilities when he picks up a runed axe; he becomes the fastest farmer in the game with a runed axe, he can blink from camp to camp and clear out an entire forest of neutrals in ~30 seconds.

All in all, magebane is a bad hero; he doesn't favor the metagame at all and requires a LOT of farm and some good supports to help his farm early game.

If you can't be a beastly farmer like me (My pro 400ck - 40mins) then magebane is not your hero doggie

magebane is a solid hard carry, nothis farm the best, but definitely not the worst. His blink/ult gives him ganking capabilities, a runed axe+brutalizer added to his insanely fast attack speed and blink makes him an incredibly strong gank and difficult to kill/prevent from farming.

I usually rush dominating helm for unstoppable farm. After that I go brutalizer and finish steam boots. That way you get hp, lifesteal, chase-power and with blink the ability to escape constantly.
