I dont think HoN blows.. i just wanted the discussion to be fair, that was why i posted in both forums, to have players from both games discuss it :) I havent played HoN since beta, and not sure i will pay to try it now that its released, that was why i wanted points for and against :)

btw, saying that lol is free is stupid, i have payed some for it, buying skins.. and i know a LOT of ppl who have done this.. I like that you can play it for free though, if you do not wanna pay, but a lot do pay ;)

well heres why i like lol better, and this is based on my experience with hon before it went open beta
i like the fact that u can buy items that boost ur magic dmg on a mage, unlike on hon if u get more int on a mage ur phys dmg goes up and not ur magic
2nd mages were useless mid-endgame cause all u needed was either headress or magic immune(forgot name)
lol has a longer replay value because not all heroes are available to you and you actually have mastery skill trees and a rune book and fill it in as you level up
you gotta work to unlock champs, runes, masteries
hon all u can do is increase psr for ego boost

this is my opinion

that is true that caster damage does scale better in LoL, but that just changes the playstyle.
casters in hon can help a lot early and mid game to buff the carry for the late game. casters dont become useless at all late game, they still have to be there to support the carry. shrunken head(the magic immune) does keep you safe from the casters for some time, but once that immunity is up you can get fucked by them anyway. if there were no magic immunity item, and magic damage scaled in hon, carrys would never be useful

the magic immune lasted i think max of 10 or 8 seconds and reduced 1 second after each use
10 or 8 secs is a very long time
even 5 seconds is a long time, its enough time for any carry to kill a mage 1v1 or be very useful in team fights
this makes mages useless for longer than 5 seconds, and that is much too long
i dont know how it is now but thats how it was

well a caster cant help it if hes getting ganked xD
void talisman gives immunity to phys dmg but lowers ur magic resist for the duration so its not really an even trade of ur running from someone like swift or mage for example
in lol i like the fact there are support mages and carry mages, and magic items boost ur magic dmg so ur still a carry mage and not end up mainly a support mage
