Y
worst games are those with microtransactions that give you not only cosmetics but power in-game kinda like being able to play monkey king early and slaM everyone cuz ofc, he's bugged as shit
most pathetic thing is all the damn 1600/1500 mongolian players are the ones who spend the most $$ cuz, instead of practicing to become better, they think spending money on worthless shit will buy them skill
wtf
same with these LoL kids who are on my school's sc2 team
they keep spending money on avatars and heroes but i know they're terrible cuz of their MMR relative to the actual ladder (would translate to mid 1500s-mid 1600s for hon)
many do that though, one of my friends has put like $60 extra into hon and says it's worth it cuz of the amount of time he's played it
i mean sure, i'm at $3 per hour i've played of black ops and $5.50 per hour i've played of portal 2
but just because i average like $0.001 per hour i've played of hon doesn't mean that it 'deserves' my money
especially with the direction S2 is taking it, it's obvious that the entire shop is for the purpose to make money
the most blatant first sign would be the badass announcer pack, basically forcing you to buy coins
slither was the first alt avatar to show that, i think, then hag and so on
so dumb
if prickster is right about dota 2 and it does have microtransactions i'm gonna cry
diablo 3 already has IRL auctions
god, it's like there are so few good mainstream game companies these days
